Goodness knows that sounds like a euphemism. Best move on swiftly.
Jungle January! 5! My most favourite time of the sewbloggy year. Join in! Do! The annual expedition is lead by the fabulous Pretty Grievances who expertly guides us through all that is animal. For sneak previews have your guidebooks open at the hashtags #JungleJanuary5 and #WearThatGrrr. Three rs in that Grrr – the jungle look is mightily fierce and feathered. Just like this viscose jersey:
Which I made into this:
A top from my beloved envelope-less copy of Butterick 3581.
It looks something like this on me:
if you’re behind me as we trek through the bamboo of my suburban garden.
Needing around a metre of fabric it’s a super pattern for that impulse purchase of summat wild. And here it is out in the wild on its way to work!
Will you be joining in the jungly high jinks?

whoopee do! It looks so nice with the orange cardi – and in its natural back garden habitat. I wish I had such a nice simple pattern for my bit of animal print. I want to join in, but am feeling clueless.
I’m very picky about my prints, animal prints doubly so.
I hope that you find something that you like.
Very cute top – I love the fabric! Pretty Grievances has converted me into a Jungle January fan too!
Thank you fellow JJ Convert.
Beautiful fabric and the colours look great on you!
Thank you. I’ve got a great appetite for oranges and rusts but I find them tricky to source.
