but there are other ways for me to show you that I love you. Admittedly, I almost never choose the medium of naked interpretive dance. Predominantly and very predictably given the nature of this blog, I choose the medium of cloth and yarn.
Thanks nice neighbour T for posting this on Facebook. Can you hear the odd ‘Back away from my hamster ball!’ from down there?
Interestingly the son came with a hamster ball, the daughter roams free like her father. She’s easier to woo with craft too:

In Liberty Tana Lawn ‘Poppy Rose’. Modified for a 3/4 scale person by the power of folding 5 cms off both the centre back and the centre front fold lines

What about this?

The Heart Rug pattern is from the Crochet Bible by Sue Whiting which I borrowed from my local library. It’s lovingly fashioned from stash yarn and features a few minor pattern modifications. I:
- replaced the suggested Loop Stitch with a not wholly successful Fur Stitch.
- added a few rows to the tops of the heart.
- edged with three rounds of double crochet instead of the suggested one.
