is worth two on the skirt? A mellifluous addition to Me Made May, those birds have the most enchanting singing voices. The story of this skirt was very almost a Cautionary Tale. For why? I hear you ask. Well, you see those gert great Dahlia blooms?
I had to be very careful where I placed those… lest it seem to show a penchant for a spot of decorative topiary in my Lady Garden.
Of course, having spent so much brain power avoiding embarrassing blooms I let the birds place themselves.
Now, are those feathered friends having a gossip or are they waiting for a tasty morsel to descend from above?
Any road, I love this skirt. It’s based on a pencil pattern from Burdastyle 3/2013 and it’s rendered in a soft linen blend from the The Eternal Maker – purveyors of delicious prints and fabulous decorative zips.
There will be more zips like those as I bought more than a brace. I’ll leave you with some snaps of the Blackbird fledglings having perhaps their last chaperoned trip to the garden.
May your Mays continue to be glorious.
