And now for something completely different.

I dabble a little in sewing, knitting and crochet. Now, bear with me here, it’s not entirely unrelated to cpd23 – all three crafts have vibrant online communities (see?!). There’s Ravelry for knitting and crochet, Etsy for window shopping and blogs for inspiration. I have been skulking around the edges of these communities for ages and I am now about to take the plunge into my first online community event: OWOP.

For one week I will be wearing various versions of a single sewing pattern that I have made myself. I’m nervous and excited to be participating in a me-made event. Wish me luck, for at the end of March I will be mostly wearing:

Anne Klein II – Vogue American Designers – 1739 (dated 1996) – the dress.

    1. Thanks! It’s become a firm favourite. I’ve needed to lengthen it, add extra bust darts and be careful not to go too tight at the waist. I’m quite a long way from any standard size so I’ve had this problem with most dresses. This is the pattern that I’ve managed to wrangle with the best 🙂 Hope you like what I’ve done!
